Frequently Asked
Questions
Where is the
memorial located?
The Anthony
9-11 Memorial is in Memorial Park on the west edge of Anthony, just east of
the intersection of Highway 2 and Main Street. It is in the southeast
corner of the park.
Does it cost
anything to visit?
No, there is
no entrance fee, although donations are welcome.
Is it handicap
accessible?
Yes, the
memorial is for everyone and it was built to be accessible for wheelchairs.
How can I buy an
engraved brick?
There is a
page you can print off the internet to order one or ask any member of the
committee for more information.
How much are the
bricks?
The bricks are
$35 each. You can have 3 lines with 20 characters per line.
How much did the
memorial cost to build?
Our early
estimate was $40,000 which doubled to over $80,000 before we were finished
with the actual structure. The committee is very proud of the fact
that no tax money was used. The funds came from donations of
individuals and corporations, and many fundraisers. We are
still raising funds for landscaping and maintenance. The flags are all
replaced at least twice a year and light bulbs burn out, just like home.
My group would
like a program about the memorial; do you have a presentation for
organizations?
Yes, we have a
PowerPoint presentation we take to organizations who are interested in our
memorial. Just contact one of the members of the committee or email us
